The night before our wedding, which was March 8th, 2012, Glen’s family arrived in Las Vegas. My long time friend and her husband arrived in town as well. Glen and I decided that we would not see each other before the wedding, just to keep some tradition at least. I just knew, that it was going to be a long night for me.
All night long thoughts kept coming in my head. Thoughts like Glen was going to be late or I would trip walking down the aisle. I just couldn’t wait for it to be finally time to drive to the church. It was finally morning and my mom, sister and I went to the hairdresser to get our hair and makeup done. Excitement and anticipation were growing inside me.
It was finally time to head to the church. We packed up my wedding dress (which by the way my mom made from scratch) and we drove there. I snuck into a room, so my mom could help me with my wedding dress. I kept smiling the whole time. In that moment I just felt like the happiest person on earth.
It was finally time to reveal the bride. My mom and dad walked me both down the aisle. I finally saw my husband to be. He was smiling from ear to ear. I think, I saw a tear or two.
We said our vows and it was finally time to kiss each other. Glen’s sister was our photographer, so she was in charge to capture our wonderful moment. We cherish these pictures for the rest of our lives. I know, that he is my best friend and my soulmate. He listens to me, when I have a bad day. Here is to many more.
