While my husband was recovering from his work accident, we found out we were pregnant. It was very unexpected because I was on birth control. We had talked about trying for a girl. Especially after having 2 boys.
We were really excited for our first ultrasound. I went around 12 weeks and we found out that we were having a little girl. I was over the moon and so was my husband. We couldn’t wait to meet her.
We were due with her on October 27th. My Mama and I went shopping for little dresses and matching bows. I couldn’t wait to dress her up and do her hair. I was ready.
I let my husband pick a name and he chose Sarah Anne for her. Anne was my grandmother’s first name. Now I am glad he did that because she past away last year. Her name will carry on with our little girl.
I couldn’t believe, that we were blessed with a little girl. The boys sure were excited to meet their little sister. My Mama went to every appointment with us.
It was finally time to meet our little princess. I got induced on October 26th at 8.00pm. Labor wasn’t too bad until they broke my water at 3 in the morning. I asked for an epidural at around 7cm.
At 6 in the morning on October 27th our little princess was born. She came out screaming and crying. She weighed 7lbs and 4 oz and she was 18 in tall. She latched right away on with no issues and I supplemented with formula.
After 24 hours it was finally time for us to go home. The big brothers finally got to meet their little sister. They were so in love with her. Chris held her and he was so proud.
She was such a good baby. I loved dressing her up and putting matching bows in her hair. She was hitting all of her milestones. At just 11 months old she was walking. Now we were in trouble because she was following her brothers everywhere with a smile on her face.
Here is an updated picture of Sarah, who is now in 3rd grade.
